You can leave messages for her on this blog and when she is feeling better she will be able to read them. We are telling her each day the people who are praying for and calling.

It's been three days since chemo. It's been a bit up and down with nausea and head pain. I saw the oncologist yesterday and he changed up my meds a bit to see if that would help. There is a place on the back of my head that has been painful. I think it's probably a lesion on my brain. So, I'm asking that you join me in prayer that the lesion would go away. That would probably also help with the nausea. Actually the lesions that have also grown on my liver, lungs and kidneys. Those need to go away as well. I'm asking this of the Great Physician. God is my all in all. May God be glorified.

Second chemo

Hey friends,
I was able to have my second chemo today. Yesterday was a very hard day, I felt horrible but lots of people were praying and the doctors changed my medicines a bit. So, today was a much better day. I even had a cheeseburger and fries on the way home. When I crave McDonald's then I know I'm doing better. Pray that the Gemsar chemo will blast away the alien invaders!!

Thanks!!!

Susan

Celebrated Thanksgiving, all my family was home except my nephew David who is teaching in France. He will be home for Christmas. Two days later we celebrated Christmas since my niece Leah and her husband Jason are home for two weeks from Cairo. My great nephews are now a bit confused as they had two Thanksgivings and two Christmas' within two days.
I'm still dealing with nausea and would like that to go away. However, my energy is slowly returning and I feel like I'm coming out of a fog. I need my platelets to be back up for chemo on Wednesday.
Appreciate you prayers!!
Susan

I was supposed to have my second round of chemo today but my platelets were too low so it's been postponed for a week. Being able to enjoy Thanksgiving is one of the benefits of not having chemo. I have much to be thankful for this year. God is good, all the time!!!!

Tues. Nov. 24

Susan hasn't felt well the last two days. Please pray for her, she wants to feel good for Thanksgiving with the family and also she has another round of chemo tomorrow. We know many are praying, so keep it up. Thanks.

Thought I would give an update though really not much to write. I have chemo again on Wednesday. I'm hoping it will blast those little alien invaders to smitherines and leave the good cells alone. I've had less trouble with nausea this week, have had no side effects from chemo that I can tell. Basically my lingering side effect, from radiation, is lack of energy. I'm very very weak but otherwise feeling okay. I have friends who come from Indiana weekly to anoint me and pray for me for chemo. Amazing, eh?! I'm looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with family. God is good!! I have much for which to be thankful!

Hello!! It's been three days since chemo. I'm doing fairly well so far. I have a little shortness of breath but that's about the only side effect. My friend Annelie just put this quote from Corrie Ten Boom on her Facebook page."Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God." That's what I'm going to choose to do. Appreciate you all.

Greetings my praying buddies! You all are so amazing. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by such a wonderful community of family. I got home from the hospital yesterday after a two day stay to try to get my systems in order. Tomorrow I start chemo. They found that the lesion on my liver had gotten a bit bigger and wanted to start chemo right away. Ask that this chemo would work to get rid of the cancer. Mentally I'm doing really well, just very tired and weak. Still asking for a healing miracle. God knows what will bring glory and honor to his name though.

It's Wednesday. I got home from the hospital Saturday night. It's great to be home and having family take care of me. I have a bit more energy everyday. I had a bad day with nausea two days ago but got some meds that are helping. Keep praying. I want to be done with this and get back to my life in Asia. A few weeks aga that didn't see possible and still might not be but I have lots more hope. God is the great healer.

Our Lord is great and powerful. There is no limit to what He knows. Psalm 147:5. He is so great that today Susan came home from the hospital. He is so powerful He is walking with her and making her a little stronger each day. There is no limit to what He can do and what His plans are. We are so very thankful she got to come home. She is still very weak, headaches, in bed, but we thank the Lord she is out of the hospital. Thank each one of you for your prayers and please continue to pray.

Wed. Nov 4

Susan is eating a little better. Which we are glad about. She had more of a headache today. She had another radiation treatment and that is going well. It doesn't look like they are going to start chemo right away, so this will give her some more time to gain back some strength. Thank you for all your prayers and cards. We serve a mighty God and we are all trusting in Him.

Wed. Oct. 28.

Family spent the day with Susan. She is in the oncology ward. She is still very tired, weak, nausea, and has headache. She has tube still in her lung. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. We are taking one day at a time and not looking ahead. Praying God will give her the strength for each day.

UPDATES

I know many of you are checking your computers several times a day for updates. I will try to update Susan's condition everyday around 6:00 p.m. Dayton, Ohio time. That way you will know how she did that day. A family member is usually with her most of the time.

Prayer Request for today is she doesn't feel like eating, very tired, weak, headache. Drain is still in lung. She is not in much pain, we are thankful for that. We should be talking to doctors in the next day or so.
I will try to post daily how Susan is doing. I know there are so many people all over the world who love and care for her. I thought this might be a better way for us to communicate than on facebook. You can leave messages for her. We the family appreciate all the prayers and calls. We are taking each day, one day at a time, depending on the Lord. Debbie Hardman (Susan's Sister-in-Law)

So all those who love Susan can keep updated and share with her
