Welcome

I am doing this blog so we can keep everyone updated about Susan. I know there are people all over the world who love her and are praying for her. She and the family thank you for all your prayers. Our hope is in our Lord. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

You can leave messages for her on this blog and when she is feeling better she will be able to read them. We are telling her each day the people who are praying for and calling.

Sunday Jan 3

Susan is very weak. Sleeping most of the time. We have had precious moments, I will remember the rest of my life. The stories and pictures people have shared have brought smiles and tears to us. Thank you for showing your love. We pray with her several times a day and have a family prayer with her each evening before she settles down for the night. The Lord is with us.

  1. Please tell Susan the Castor's in Greenwood, Indiana are praying for her. We have spent many New Year's Eves together playing Scrabble with her and other friends in Indianapolis. I hope God will let us play again in Heaven one day! We love you, Susan! - Danita

  2. My dear friend Susan,

How thankful I am for you and all you mean to me and my family. You have been a precious friend and such a blessing to us. I remember so well those missions classes we took at the SOT and the many hours we spent writing our Master's thesis together. I remember meeting you in Wiesbaden for the ChoG International Conference -- you came all the way from China by train!! I remember the "sleep-over" party we had with Patsy, Jenny and others at the furlough apt. I remember picnics in our backyard....so many precious memories. I love you, my dear friend.

I'm grateful that the pain and nausea have subsided and you're feeling more comfortable. Right now as I think of you, I envision the arms of Jesus wrapped around you. We love you Susan but OH HOW HE LOVES YOU!!

May His presence, peace, and loving arms comfort and sustain you as never before. May you be comforted and feel great joy when you know that many friends around the world are praying for you. Although I am separated from you by many miles, you are so very close to my heart! Sending love and hugs to you across the Atlantic, Esther (all the Kants and Oma Meier are remembering you!)

Debbie, thank you for your updates. We are keeping all of the Hardmans in our prayers, especially Edna. Please give her my love.

  6. Debbie,
I love you guys and continue to pray for you all. I've always been amazed because no matter how many years have passed between visits with Susan she remembered our previous meetings and was genuinely interested in what God was doing in my life. The longer I spent at AU, the longer I realized how many people she has reached and loved. I pray God's Spirit is present in a very real way not only for Susan but for you and Gary and the rest of the family. You are never far from my thoughts.

    Love you all,

    Joe Watkins

  9. Dear Susan,

My Sunday school ladies all smiled today as I reminded them that God gave you that last trip to China and the opportunity to teach to young children. We loved the story of the children drawing their favorite body parts. How sweet God is to us. We continue to pray for you, dear Susan. And thank you, Debbie, for keeping us current. God bless and comfort you all.

  10. My dear sweet Susan,
There are so many dear memories of you but the ones that stand out in my mind the most are, times we spent toilet papering the brewer's house, cinnamon rolls at my house, pizza party's and our trip to Florida to see Summer. I will always be touched by your spirit and love for the Lord.
You have blessed and touched my life in a very special way. I love you very much and pray that you feel peace in this next journey God has for you.
    All my love,
    Diana

  12. Hello dear Susan.

In the website of the Anderson Center for the Arts (http://www.andersonart.org/rejuvenate_exhibits.asp#) there is only one picture from the Anderson's Annual photography competition and exhibition of last year.

The photograph shows a group of people wearing light blue robes, dancing and clapping with gestures of adoration, next to what it looks like clay walls somewhere in the Sub Sahara region.

This picture is titled "Worship" by Susan Hardman.

It captures the worship to God. You worship Him. We worship Him with you for your life and for your love and devotion to Him.

    Thank you Susan.

    Hugs and love,

    Alfonso & Elizabeth Ayala

    PS

    Debbie,

We appreciate you sharing with us and loving Susan.

    Thank you,

    A & E

  13. Debbie - Please tell Susan I love her and hold her in the highest esteem. She is a true warrior for Christ and I admire her so. I think of her all day every day and have been praying. I know God's timing is perfect and that He has all things under control. I will miss her, even though I didn't spend that much time with her. I also admire your family and the constant love and support you have been to Susan, especially during the past few months. So - please just tell her I love her and admire her so much. Thanks, Lisa Wygant
